SYNOPSIS

When cavaliere Peppe Valenzi, known as Passaguai (meaning someone who always gets in trouble), decides to take advantage of an employee discount to spend a Sunday at the Fiumicino seaside with his wife and children, a series of troubles begin for everyone, in the form of a funny nightmare.

CRITICAL NOTE

“Using the very thin plot as just an outline from which to develop ideas and gimmicks, Fabrizi blends the characteristic traits of his comicality into a structure that alternates elements that are even slapstick – the repeated gags with the watermelon, the hilarious idea of the face deformed by his wife’s weight – with more traditional situations, taken from vaudeville or boulevardier theatre shows, with often irresistible comic effects. The direction of the character actors is also excellent, especially Delle Piane, who appears in shorts”. (P. Mereghetti, Il Mereghetti, Dizionario dei film)
