synopsis

Giovanna is a bookkeeper at a chicken packaging company and married to a man with an unstable job. She falls in love with a young man who lives in the building across from hers. Their relationship strengthens when they begin to investigate the identity of an elderly man who intrudes into their lives.

“Set in Rome, the film is imbued with a constant, intense feeling. The Hitchcockian theme of a window that opens into other realities is played out with an extreme finesse for observations. The actors are extraordinarily involved, —Bova displays increasing maturity is increasingly more mature, while Mezzogiorno combines captivating charm with a perceptive edge, proving herself a worthy heir to her father’s legacy.
